This 1/12 scale doll house started as a small bookcase which I converted into an Early American Saltbox style doll house, based on the family home of Louisa May Alcott, the author of 'Little Women'. This doll house is one room deep, open at the back and features the bedrooms of the four March sisters Jo, Meg, Amy and Beth. It also has a kitchen, parlor and attic. It is not not electrified, but has 1o windows that let in light and a front door that opens. Every room is wallpapered, has real wood flooring and the roof has wood shingles.
The real Alcott home is at right. Learn more about Louisa May Alcott at the link below.
